Epidemiology
Research: As Head of the Epidemiology Department at Mahidol-Oxford Tropical Medicine Research Unit (MORU), based in Bangkok, Thailand, I lead a research group working on the epidemiology of tropical infectious diseases. Working mainly on malaria, dengue and COVID-19 our research focusses on developing and applying methods to routine surveillance data to detect, describe and predict patterns of disease incidence over time and space. We have a particular interest in outbreaks and epidemics and understanding what factors cause them to spread, as well as assessing the impact of different interventions to control them.
